Montgomery County Police detectives have arrested and charged 24-year-old Enrique Carbajal and 19-year-old Victor Tome with the kidnapping and rape of a 12-year-old girl in Wheaton.
According to police sources, Carbajal, who is known to the family of the victim, contacted her without parent’s consent at a house in Northeast D.C. on March 26. The girl was then allegedly taken to Carbajal’s house in the 11500 block of Elkin Street in Wheaton which he shared with Tome, where both men raped her. Police believe that afterwards, the victim was taken to a house in Virginia.
According to a press release issued by Montgomery County Police Department, arrest warrants were obtained for both Carajal and Tome, charging them with one count each of first-degree rape, second-degree rape, kidnapping, false imprisonment and second-degree assault.
On April 6, MCPD detectives arrested Carajal and Tome at their home. Both men are being held on a $500,000 bond.
