ROCKVILLE – A mother whose two children are still missing has again been judged unfit to stand trial in their disappearance.
Judge Eugene Wolfe consulted a medical report stating that Catherine Hoggle is still unable to stand trial due to her mental condition.
Hoggle has been charged with obstructing and hindering an investigation, neglect, and abduction of Sarah Hoggle and Jacob Hoggle.
Her mental condition is evaluated every six months, but Wolfe wanted to change it to every two months.
“Once determined restorable, restored, competent, she returns to court immediately,” said Wolfe on Friday.
David Felsen, the attorney for Hoggle, said that she is cooperating with her treatment and is doing what she is told.
The family is still searching for the children. Leads have emerged but have been fruitless. The latest lead is a report that the children were at an airport in Toledo, Ohio.
The next trial date was set for Sept. 18 at 9 a.m.
