A 27-year-old Gaithersburg man has been arrested for a string of robberies committed at 7-11 and CVS stores in the Gaithersburg and Rockville area over the last month.
Howard County police arrested Ricardo Oneil Brooks of the 18700 block of Pier Point Place in Gaithersburg on Sept. 12 after he robbed the CVS store at 3300 Centennial Lane in Ellicott City.
After Brooks was arrested by Howard County police, they learned he matched the description of an individual who had robbed other CVS stores in Montgomery County.
According to Montgomery County police officials from the Major Crimes Division, Brooks would enter the store when there were few to no customers, approach an employee and display a handgun. He would demand money, taking bills, coins and sometimes cigarettes.
Soon after Brooks was arrested, Montgomery County police were granted a search warrant to search Brooks’ home.
